This allows the artist to take as much time as needed in the studio to finish their project without having any time anxiety. 

Some artists record 1 to 2 songs in 1 night,

as where other artists choose to create a project and spend multiple weeks planning and crafting their art. 

This results in tracking / (recording) anywhere from a few weeks, upwards to all summer long.

AS CLOSE TO major label released quality mixes / masters as possible.

This does NOT happen in 2 hours nor even in 1 night. 

Remember, your music career investment should cost more than your weed.

Mixing is the process of adjusting the individual tracks/individual instruments in a mix and audio mastering typically only deals with the stereo output of a mix.

Mastering comes after mixing and is the last creative musical process before releasing a song or album.

A good mastering engineer can also make a collection of songs  

feel like an album, glueing them all together. 

Mastering also is where LOUDNESS happens after the mixing process is finished.
